First, their population data generation model does not represent “formative measurement” as researchers generally understand that term. Second, their design involves a PLS path model that is misspecified with respect to their population model. Third, although their aim is to estimate a composite-based PLS path model, their design uses simulation data generated via a factor analytic procedure. In consequence of these flaws, Aguirre-Urreta and Marakas' (2014) study does not support valid inference about the behavior of PLS path modeling with respect to endogenous formatively measured constructs.]]> Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:44:10 AEDT ]]> Urban vs. rural destinations: residents’ perceptions, community participation and support for tourism development https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:31240 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:43:20 AEDT ]]> The use of partial least squares structural equation modeling in strategic management research: a review of past practices and recommendations for future applications https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15424 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:23:02 AEDT ]]> Customer satisfaction with commercial airlines: the role of perceived safety and purpose of travel https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15437 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:20:09 AEDT ]]> An assessment of the use of partial least squares structural equation modeling in marketing research https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15403 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:19:22 AEDT ]]> A critical look at the use of PLS-SEM in MIS Quarterly https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15399 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:19:20 AEDT ]]> Confirmatory tetrad analysis in PLS path modeling https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:9962 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:14:27 AEDT ]]> In pursuit of understanding what drives fan satisfaction https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:20925 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:06:11 AEDT ]]> On the emancipation of PLS-SEM: a commentary on Rigdon (2012) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:17377 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:01:31 AEDT ]]> Disentangling the effects of team competences, team adaptability, and client communication on the performance of management consulting teams https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:16449 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:00:15 AEDT ]]> PLS path modeling and evolutionary segmentation https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:19890 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:57:09 AEDT ]]> Common beliefs and reality about PLS: comments on Rönkkö and Evermann (2013) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:20627 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:55:47 AEDT ]]> Discovering unobserved heterogeneity in structural equation models to avert validity threats https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:16375 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:52:28 AEDT ]]> Partial least squares structural equation modeling: rigorous applications, better results and higher acceptance (editorial) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:16377 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:52:28 AEDT ]]> Genetic algorithm segmentation in partial least squares structural equation modeling https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:19167 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:52:19 AEDT ]]> Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM): a useful tool for family business researchers https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:21039 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:50:36 AEDT ]]> Gain more insight from your PLS-SEM results the importance-performance map analysis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29274 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:39:17 AEDT ]]> Testing measurement invariance of composites using partial least squares https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29885 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:33:47 AEDT ]]> How collinearity affects mixture regression results https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25724 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:33:29 AEDT ]]> Identifying and treating unobserved heterogeneity with FIMIX-PLS: part I - method https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29709 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:33:26 AEDT ]]> Identifying and treating unobserved heterogeneity with FIMIX-PLS: part II - a case study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:27214 European Business Review, Volume 28, Issue 1) offered an overview of unobserved heterogeneity in the context of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), its prevalence and challenges for social sciences researchers. This paper aims to provide an example that explains how to identify and treat unobserved heterogeneity in PLS-SEM by using the finite mixture PLS (FIMIX-PLS) module in the SmartPLS 3 software (Part II). Design/methodology/approach: This case study illustrates the application of FIMIX-PLS using a popular corporate reputation model. Findings: The case study demonstrates the capability of FIMIX-PLS to identify whether unobserved heterogeneity significantly affects structural model relationships. Furthermore, it shows that FIMIX-PLS is particularly useful for determining the number of segments to extract from the data. Research limitations/implications: Since the introduction of FIMIX-PLS, a range of alternative latent class techniques has appeared. These techniques address some of the limitations of the approach relating to, for example, its failure to handle heterogeneity in measurement models, or its distributional assumptions. This research discusses alternative latent class techniques and calls for the joint use of FIMIX-PLS and PLS prediction-oriented segmentation. Originality/value: This article is the first to offer researchers, who have not been exposed to the method, an introduction to FIMIX-PLS. Based on a state-of-the-art review of the technique, the paper offers a step-by-step tutorial on how to use FIMIX-PLS by using the SmartPLS 3 software.]]> Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:32:25 AEDT ]]> Segmentation of PLS path models by iterative reweighted regressions https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29963 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:30:59 AEDT ]]> European management research using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25314 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:30:21 AEDT ]]> Community members' perception of brand community character: construction and validation of a new scale https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25427 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:27:23 AEDT ]]> Using cultural archetypes in cross-cultural management studies https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24510 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:13:13 AEDT ]]> Estimation issues with PLS and CBSEM: where the bias lies! https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:23845 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:12:11 AEDT ]]> Prediction-oriented modeling in business research by means of PLS path modeling: introduction to a JBR special section https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25009 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:10:40 AEDT ]]> The PLS agent: predictive modeling with PLS-SEM and agent-based simulation https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25007 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:10:40 AEDT ]]> Guidelines for treating unobserved heterogeneity in tourism research: a comment on Marques and Reis (2015) https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24347 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:10:17 AEDT ]]> An assessment of the use of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in hospitality research https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:47491 Mon 23 Jan 2023 11:47:43 AEDT ]]> Partial least squares structural equation modeling in HRM research https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:43558 Fri 23 Sep 2022 11:22:30 AEST ]]> Treating unobserved heterogeneity in PLS-SEM: a multi-method approach https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:32491 Fri 08 Jun 2018 13:12:14 AEST ]]>
